Scars On Broadway

Scars On Broadway (Des Cicatrices Sur Broadway) est le nom du nouveau groupe monté par Daron Malakian en parallèle à System Of A Down depuis 2005.

L'origine du projet (en 2003) le groupe devait inclure Casey Chaos (Amen) et Zack Hill (Hella, Team Sleep).
Daron s'est entre temps brouillé avec Casey et la structure du groupe s'en est trouvée modifiée. Le groupe fut réellement créer en 2005 et est maintenant composé de :

- Daron Malakian : chant, guitare
- John Dolmayan : batterie
- Franky Perez : guitare, chant
- Danny Shamoun : clavier, percussion
- Dominic Cifarelli : basse

Leur premier album (éponyme) produit par Daron Malakian avec l'aide de son ami de toujours Rick Rubin est sorti le 28 juillet 2008, il comporte 15 titres. Comme le dernier album de SYSTEM OF A DOWN, l'artwork de "SCARS ON BROADWAY" a été conçu par Vartan Malakian le Père de Daron.

Le groupe dit s'être inspiré des Beatles pour donner un côté plus rock à leur musique.
